I spread the word about Yelp, a website that connects people to great local businesses. I nurture the growing (on and off-line) community of "yelpers" in Michigan. My job is different each day -- and encompasses marketing, event planning, outreach to small businesses, nonprofits and interested folks in general!
I get to show small business owners free features that give them a leg up and help them connect to their customers (
http://www.yelp.com/business)-- and help people find local businesses that they feel passionate about... That's so important, particularly in Michigan, particularly right now! I am fortunate to work with some pretty inspiring people -- in Michigan and beyond.
