Gentex is celebrating a pair of milestones this summer with community events that include street performers, a block party, and fireworks.

As part of Music Moves Us, I AM Dance, a new part of I AM Academy, is offering a free hip hop lesson on Thursday, Aug. 8, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in downtown Holland’s GDK park during the Street Performer Series. 

Disability Network Southwest Michigan (DNSWM) has launched the #DWord campaign, aiming to reshape cultural perceptions of the word "disability."

As part of Music Moves Us, the West Michigan Asian American Association is offering a free Polynesian dance lesson and story on Wednesday, Aug. 7, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Holland Farmers Market. Community Action House will teach children how to build their own tropical fruit salad.

A decade after its creation, the Tech Council boasts over 70 members and a vision to make Greater Grand Rapids a major tech hub in the Midwest. Gentex, Ottawa County’s biggest employer, is a part of the effort.
