After 4 years in finance, I decided to jump ship and start a new career path. Through tons of networking (and soul searching) I was lucky enough to be hired in at Doner working as a Traffic Coordinator. The Traffic Dept at Doner works as a training position for new-comers to learn the ropes in advertising. Not only do I assist the account team with their projects, but I get exposure to all other departments such as media, print production, creative teams... etc. I'm enjoying the new, more innovative environment and hope to work my way onto the account side soon. I also just joined the board of Adcraft PM, which is an advertising organization in Detroit. They throw parties and events to get ad professionals together to network and simply have a good time outside of a work setting.
