I oversee the hiring process for all 32 Art Van locations. My job can vary day to day, I am never doing the same thing! I help the store managers develop recruiting action plans as well as post jobs for them on different job boards. I help the stores select candidates to interview. I am responsible for the corporate hiring as well. I conduct and attend job fairs through out the state of Michigan. Giving presentations to different classrooms and business organizations at colleges and universities throughout the state of Michigan is one of my favorite parts of my job. I love public speaking and helping students understand the interview process, resume writing and networking! It is my job to conduct new hire orientation (I love this part of my job!). I have re-created the interview process and implemented a behavioral based interview process to our stores. Currently, I am working on the implementation of an applicant management system that is scheduled to roll out mid January.
