My primary role involves consumer listening within social media. I use social media listening tools to gain insight about our consumers and determine their perception of the Mopar brand. I use those insights to make strategic recommendations to improve Mopar’s existing marketing programs, as well as helping to develop new ones. My job title is all about social media, but my responsibilities are much more than that. I also have the opportunity to gain experience with website development, copywriting, web analytics, sales metrics, and planning marketing initiatives at events. I enjoy working in the auto industry and marketing a product that I feel passionate about. I am a life-long resident of Michigan and feel a strong connection to the auto industry, as my grandfather and father both worked for Chrysler for over 30 years. To find myself building a career in the same fashion is very exciting for me. Although I didn’t land this position until recently, I started looking for a position with Chrysler during my final year in college. Along the way I was able to gain solid experience in digital marketing and social media. I see a strong future in social media marketing and when a position opened up within Chrysler I felt it was a natural fit. I get to do something I truly enjoy and have opportunities for career advancement, which make it easy to come to work every day.

I chose to work at Ford Motor Company as it has shown great character in coming out of the depths of recession. I work in the technology area where my passion for solving business problems and background in IT help me drive solutions that support business growth. Ford came to Kellogg for recruitment and it felt like a great fit on the people front and offered challenging role for MBAs for making a difference.  Ann Arbor, Michigan has been exciting place to live where we are surrounded by friendly /accomplished people and have easy access to activities in the downtown area.

My role as a Digital Production Manager is exactly what it sounds like. I manage the production of various digital projects including websites, on-line advertising, e-mail, and in-market display advertisements for a major automotive client.  MRM has given me opportunities to gain experience in content management, interfacing with international counterparts, project management, web maintenance, collaboration on special projects, and placing me on the cusp of innovative technology. All of which makes me a “hybrid” asset to the company.

Before starting with MRM, I worked in Florida at Walt Disney World® Resort in Sales and Marketing. When the economy declined, so did my position.  So I moved back to Michigan and into my parents’ house – like many post-grads.  After months of job searching and hundreds of applications, I got a phone call from a recruiter at a new agency in town.  MRM Worldwide pulled my resume from CareerBuilder and were interested in interviewing me!

What I love about MRM (and what I specifically look for in a company) is that they provide an amazing support system to their employees from not only a teamwork perspective, but also from a personal and professional development standpoint.  The management team is dedicated to helping us reach our goals and recognizing those who stand out and perform exceptionally. The perks are nice as well - 24-hour coffee bar, fruit on Mondays, bagels on Thursdays, and more, all while wearing your favorite pair of jeans.  We also have patio parties in the summer, outings/events, and get greeted daily by a sweet concept car parked in the lobby. The “Changing of the Car” is usually an event.

I support about 400 employees in 9 different locations who make up the Research & Development and Technology of the company. My manager and coworkers are great. They are supportive and I also have a good time working with them. Working with Federal-Mogul has given me the opportunity to learn more about human resources, technology and business in general.

Through Federal-Mogul's Recreation Council I coordinate appreciation events to acknowledge employees' hard work and commitment. Although the automotive industry has seen some rough times we have all managed to stay positive. The amount of recruiting I have done in 2010 is a good indication of the market starting to turnaround.
