Riverside Country Club moves from private to public course

After 86 years as a private course, Riverside Country Club has gone public.

The Battle Creek Enquirer reports the club on East Columbia Avenue has been purchased by Chris Vocke and his wife, Kriste. The couple also owns Cedar Creek and Cedar Farms golf clubs.

Excerpt:

“Since our group became interested in purchasing Riverside late last year,” Cris Vocke said Monday, “I was surprised to find out that so many people have lived their whole lives in the Battle Creek area and have never had the chance to play this beautiful course even once. Our first order of business after signing the legal papers was to officially open this course up to public play.”
