LectureTools growth streak adds new users around the world

LectureTools was launched in Ann Arbor last fall and, much to its delight, is finding use for its educational software all around the world today.

The start-up has focused on reinventing the software programs used for educational materials, such as course packs, handouts and quizzes.

"We have 2,000 registered instructors for it, which represents more than 650 colleges and K-12 schools," says Jason Aubrey, co-founder & vice president of LectureTools. He adds that the start-up has just released an iPad app for colleges, which has led to 1,200 downloads in a few weeks. "This is in addition to the 2,000 accounts online."

LectureTools also recently sold a license for its software to the University of Hong Kong. Aubrey and his team of four hope to see their University of Michigan-developed software reach new markets in the coming school year.
