Foundry Lofts welcomes its first residents to downtown Ann Arbor

Foundry Lofts welcomed its first tenants earlier this month, bringing 200 new residents to high-rise living in downtown Ann Arbor. The newly constructed, 14-story building at the corner of North Division and East Huron streets is now 90 percent leased. The first 200 residents moved in on May 1st. The development offers 206 units with 570 beds. It also comes with a ground-floor commercial space that the developers are still working to fill.

"We're hoping for a coffee lounge inside the building," says Alli Anderson, community manager for Foundry Lofts. "For the outside spaces we would love to have a grocery or market-style concept."

Foundry Lofts offers a variety of apartments, ranging from 570-square-foot studios to a 1,500-square-foot penthouse apartment with four bedrooms. Price range from $1,600 for a 1-bedroom apartment to $5,396 for the 4-bedroom penthouse.

The apartments come with an open floor plan, stainless steel appliances, and countertops made of recycled glass. Each unit is also furnished with contemporary, industrial-style furniture purchased through a local vendor. Each apartment also features floor-to-ceiling windows.

"They give you the best views in Ann Arbor in my opinion," Anderson says.

Foundry Lofts is offering free rent for the summer as long as tenants sign year-long leases that begin on Aug. 26th.
