Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

On a recent visit from Fort Wayne a writer and her husband discovered Southwest Michigan’s wine trail.

St. Julian Winery, Fenn Valley, and Warner Vineyards in Paw Paw were three of the discoveries along the way.

Excerpt:

Veritas, capriccio, forbidden fruit, rosa d’amore … These are just a few of the wines my husband and I had the pleasure of sampling on a recent weekend visit to – no, not Italy or California’s Napa or Sonoma counties – but just next-door in Southwest Michigan.

In an area bordered by Saugatuck to the north, Kalamazoo to the east and Niles to the south, the wineries of the Lake Michigan Shore Wine Trail are a secret waiting to be savored.
