Purdue University students travel more than 450 miles to study in U.P.

When you were in school wasn't it always nice to spend some time outside of the classroom, even if it meant just sitting out on the lawn while your teacher lectured?

Students from Purdue University -- you know, the one in Indiana -- went a little more extreme, reported WLUC-TV6 recently. They traveled from Indiana to the Upper Peninsula for some hands on studying.

Excerpt from TV6:

It's more than 450 miles from West Lafayette, Indiana to Iron River, but for Purdue University students, there is no better place to be.

A group of 50 wildlife, forestry, and fishery students come every year to Covenant Point in Iron River to gain hands-on experience working with wildlife.
