Seeing fall colors through the lens of top-notch photographers

Everyone has their favorite places to see the fall colors that nature has to offer, but it is always nice to be able to see the sites where others prefer to go, too. That's where photography comes in, and when the fall colors are snapped by professionals, the hues, tints and intensity can sometimes be as breathtaking as being there in person.

Excerpt: But my favorite fall getaways take me to spots such as the peak of Brockway Mountain Drive on the Keweenaw Peninsula (726 feet above Lake Superior) or the northernmost tip of Grand Island near Munising, where stepping onto a rock outcropping offers a pretty memorable view down the 200-foot sandstone cliff -- even if it does leave you feeling a bit wobbly.
