While Mackinac Island might be a more popular tourist destination, Gaylord has its own delights, as a radio host is discovering on a journey up north. He recommends some worthwhile stops if you're passing through.

Excerpt: Good morning, all. I'm on my way to Mackinac Island as part of our little adventure we call "Experience Michigan."

First, I'll hang out in Gaylord this morning. I'm having breakfast at Diana's Delights on Main Street. Then I'll check out the North Central State Trail for a bike ride with Paul Beachnau, the executive director of the Gaylord Area Convention & Tourism Bureau.
