Halloween happenings around Midland County

It's a spooky time of year and the Midland community is gearing up to keep you busy!

Trick or treat around Midland County on Oct. 31
Downtown Midland will be hosting trick-or-treating at local businesses from 5 to 8 p.m.

City of Midland, Coleman and Sanford are inviting children to trick or treat from 6 to 8 p.m.

Coleman Area Library is looking forward to seeing little trick-or-treaters from 3 to 6 p.m. 

From 4 to 6 p.m. the Midland Mall is offering indoor treats at your favorite stores.

Other Treats for the Children
Try your luck at the family friendly Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt. Hike the loop trail at Riverview Natural Area anytime from now until Nov. 3 to find all the scarecrows! Enter to win a nature gift pack, too!

Join your friends and neighbors at the Midland Center for the Arts on Oct. 25 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for their Halloween Bash! See science and get ghoulish with some hands-on activities. Admission is $7 and pre-registration is required.

Washington Woods Senior Apartments is inviting little ones to Trunk-or-Treat on Oct. 26 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Join the residents of Washington Woods for costumes, games and, of course, candy!

Midland Recyclers invites you to join them for their Halloween Bash Trunk or Treat and Silent Auction on Oct. 27 from 1 to 4  p.m. Check out the bounce houses, games, food trucks and fun!

Grace A. Dow Memorial Library is hosting a Super Spooky Tween Glow Party Oct. 29 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Kids age 9-12 can enjoy fun games, activities, crafts, and snacks! And don't forget to glow! Pre-registration is required.

Fitness Fun
Halloween Glow POUND will give you a chance to get your heart pumping during a glow in the dark session with music to match the occasion. Join Heather on Oct. 26 at 9:30 a.m. at Re Bär Fitness Studio.

Glowing Ghouls Glow Jumps Class will provide a high-energy class using spring loaded boots. Join Ali on Oct. 26 at 9 a.m.at Allied Group Fitness.

Check out some Nature at Night with the Chippewa Nature Center on Oct. 25 from 4-8 p.m. Find out what animals get up when you go to bed! Kids can dress up as their favorite animal and take part in crafts, games and other activities like fireside stories and the Jack-o-lantern trail.  

Join Allise Noble for an Altered Thrift Store Art session Oct. 30 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Creative 360. Choose your own theme and staff will help you transform it into fantastic art made by you! Pre-registration is required. Class is $30 per canvas. Limited seats available.
