A familiar face to Saginaw hockey fans will be even more familiar soon. Saginaw Spirit goalie Jake Paterson got good news this week as the Detroit Red Wings signed him for the next three years.
Excerpt: Jake Paterson has officially secured his hockey future for the next few years after the Detroit Red Wings announced that the franchise has agreed to terms on a three-year entry level contract with the Saginaw Spirit goalie.
Paterson has his entire Ontario Hockey League career with the Saginaw Spirit, and the 19-year old has drawn rave reviews since taking over as the starting netminder in the 2011-12 season.
