Disc golf is making a name for itself among outdoors sports enthusiasts, and there are plenty of those in Mid Michigan. New courses are in the works in several places.
Excerpt: Bay City State Recreation Area is considering putting in a disc golf course next year, and officials hope to capture some of the momentum in what seems to be a growing sport.
The latest course to spring up was in Saginaw Township, where golfers can already play on the partially finished Wickes Woods course.
