The Central Michigan Community Hospital board announced recently that they would be entering a merger agreement, news that was well taken locally.

The announcement by CMCH Board of Directors President George Dunn was met with optimism, enthusiasm and hope for future growth.
Former Central Michigan University first lady Louise Plachta said she was excited about the merger and is happy that CMCH will not undergo a name change.
