Two new exhibits at the Birmingham-Bloomfield Art Center showcase the
range of creative expression, from enthusiastic amateurs to seasoned
experts. The BBAC plays host to an exhibit by renown abstract
expressionist James Adley, who grew up in England, but gained acclaim
while living in Michigan and working as a Michigan State University art
professor. "James Adley at 80: Recent Paintings, Works on Paper and Metal," curated
by Robert Schefman and Vince Carducci of the College for Creative
Studies, runs through March 18.
An art show featuring the work of local adults will also take place at the BBAC. A jury consisting of Susan Aaron-Taylor (College of Creative Studies chair of Fiber Studies) and watercolorist Mark Mehaffey will determine the winners.

that's just for you and that's just for fun. There’s no pressure, and
it's just a joyful process," she said.
