"Maybe he can help get rid of it," said Linden Nelson, CEO of Motown Motion Pictures, which plans to open a 600,000 square foot studio in Pontiac in a building that used to house a portion of GM’s operations in the beleaguered city.
A day after learning that GM was closing its two remaining manufacturing plants in Pontiac, city, state and federal officials toured the site that will become home to Motown Motion Pictures.
Nelson said he met Spielberg in Los Angeles last week and he expressed interest in making a movie with the Silverdome, which the city has been trying to sell for years, as the star.
