Keep your mittens and scarves handy for the
Fourth Annual Fire & Ice Fest, set for Jan. 28-30 in downtown Rochester. The winter carnival,
sponsored by Oakland County, Oakland County Parks, Downtown Rochester
and Rochester Hills, offers family fun and is expanded to three days for
the first time.
There are a host of free activities including a tube sledding hill, ice
skating, cross country skiing, snow shoeing and dog sled and carriage
rides. Spectacular fireworks displays are set for Friday and Saturday
nights. There are ice carvings and The Big Bright Light Show on
Rochester Road. A beer and food tent will be open each day and includes
vendors such as the Rochester Mills Brewery.
Fire & Ice is made possible in part by the generous support of Hour Detroit and Soave Properties.
