L. Brooks Patterson will receive the first Distinguished Arts & Culture Award from the Paint Creek Center for the Arts. The Rochester-based non-profit will be hosting its first annual Regional Arts & Culture Awards on March 24 at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester. The event is a way to recognize those that have made an impact on the arts in meaningful ways throughout the nonprofit area's primary service area.
The PCCA will honor organizations, families and artists alike -- from art fair organizers to local symphonies, Oakland County creators and historians. "The arts are such an integral part of a strong and healthy community," says PCCA Executive Director, Suzanne Wiggins, "we felt it was an important part of our mission to create a mechanism for recognizing those who give so much."
