Michigan's teens can see, feel and experience the construction industry up-close at the 2011 Michigan Construction Career Days 2011 exploration event, happening this April 26 and 27 at the Ingham County Fairgrounds.
Students from 7th to 12th grades have the unique opportunity to find out about the many career opportunities available in the four industry sectors of the construction industry. As Michigan's buildings age, the demand for new building increases; while innovations in alternative energy, green design and low-impact builds create new challenges for creative minds.
In addition to career information and an industry education, the teens will also engage in hands-on training and demonstrations using real tools, equipment and materials; working side-by-side with industry professionals.
