Birmingham man to produce film in home state

Thanks to Michigan's film incentives Birmingham resident Bob Krausmann can fulfill his movie making dreams here in his home state.

An emerging film industry in Michigan sounded like a fairy tale to Bob Krausmann when he moved to the state about eight years ago.

But now the Birmingham film producer is back to doing what he loves, thanks to a statewide push to attract the movie industry to the two peninsulas.

As executive producer, Krausmann will use Michigan’s scenery in the movie “The Whisperers,” which is scheduled for a 2009 release. The film will be shot this March after he does some preparation work in January.
