If businesses need to constantly adapt to survive, then it has been an interesting evolution for TruArx.
The Farmington Hills-based firm got its start in 2001 doing IT and risk management consulting. Its name is a play on words meaning "your fortress" in Latin. The company worked away for years in those fields before recently finding greener pastures in software development.
The expectation is to approximately double revenue each year for the next three years. It's the type of growth that should make a good case for adding more employees.
"We're looking at double-digit growth in the next year," says Robert Capinjola, president and CEO of TruArx. "We easily did that last year."
Part of that growth was through acquisition. TruArx bought a Texas-based firm and added another dozen employees to its staff. It also has offices in Bolivia and India. The company hopes to add 6-10 employees within the next few years.
TruArx provides IT governance, and risk and compliance programs via a software-as-a-service model. The idea is to allow clients to reduce the cost of compliance while improving risk management.
