Just Baked cupcakes plan national expansion

Southeast Michigan's own Just Baked cupcakes will soon be available for sweet-lovers across the nation to taste.

Thanks to funds and expertise from the management team at another successful locally-based brand, Ferndale's Garden Fresh Gourmet, Just Baked says it plans to open retail stores across America, while becoming a supplier to about 10,000 grocery stores in the next two years.

Starting with a bakery in Livonia in 2009, owners Pam and Todd Turkin plan to open 200 franchises by 2014.
