I manage the New Media team at Lake Trust Credit Union, the fourth largest credit union in the state of Michigan. Our corporate headquarters are in Lansing, but we service customers  from Grand Haven to Detroit — from lake to lake! As New Media Manager, my position involves overseeing social media, search engine optimization, blogging, and audio/video creation. Part of my role involves researching media innovations and monitoring industry trends, as well as supporting other areas of marketing as needed. I specialize in project management including new technology, event planning, and employee education. I'm interested in furthering my knowledge of professional development, process improvement, and organizational communication efforts.

Being a Search Engine Optimization Strategist is definitely a fun job. Whether I’m writing copy, working with social media, or looking at metrics, there’s always something new that comes along. These areas are growing so fast, there’s really no limit to what you can do. The people I work with make it even better. They’re smart as hell and down to earth – the kind of people you’d have a beer with after work. Quicken Loans is moving downtown to the Compuware building in August, so I’m pretty pumped about that (the view is sweet). With all the negative news we often hear about Detroit, it’s good to know there are people who are truly looking to improve the city. Come say hi to us sometime!

I am responsible for: Developing relationships with finance related bloggers to increase search engine optimization (SEO) and exchange content. Researching SEO while working directly with the web team to increase leads. Determining site strength indication (SSI) to find total score of site to submit finance related articles to increase Quicken Loans organic search. Link building and lead generation through submitting classified ads to online sites. Reach out to Quicken Loans customers to receive feedback from their experience to gain knowledge and understanding. Social bookmarking articles to give content exposure and link building. Helping plan upcoming social media events in Metro Detroit.

At Freedom One I conduct investment and asset allocation research to ensure that the clients who have entrusted their 401(k)'s to us get the most appropriate investment solutions for their unique situations.
 
I am also the Chief Investment Officer at Scale Investment Group, which I am just launching now (we will be fully operational by early Fall 2010), I focus on helping individual investors that are traditionally overlooked by advisory firms, such as young professionals.  I provide investment education, financial planning and full investment management at a cost that is well below industry averages.

My job entails working in the lease securitization account group.  My team and I manage various lease deals by accounting for depreciation expenses, buy backs of deals, and month to month fluctuations.  I also handle daily payments that the lease team is responsible for paying to their investors.

As the Director of Marketing and Communications at Beringea, I guide the company’s brand strategy and communications efforts, in addition to day-to-day marketing and public relations tasks. I also provide on-going marketing and PR consulting services to Beringea’s global portfolio companies. Beringea is an international private equity and investment banking firm with offices in Detroit, Los Angeles, London and Shanghai. Beringea's funds invest in a range of small- to medium-sized companies with the potential for high growth and strong returns for investors.

I am an independent investment advisor that offers full service financial solutions to families, foundations and small businesses. I utilize customized asset allocation to design investment portfolios that match each clients risk and return expectations. Once developed, I actively manage these portfolios using a unique blend of exchange traded funds, and/or individual stocks and bonds.  Through strategic alliances with professional Certified Public Accountants (CPAs), estate and trust planning attorneys and insurance specialists, I assists clients with their tax planning, estate planning, and insurance needs. I am compensated on an asset-based scale, tied directly to the value of my client's portfolio, rather than on individual transactions.

I manage Flagstar Bank's online advertising and marketing campaigns. I work to coordinate Flagstar's online experience with off-line radio, newspaper and television advertising. My short-term goals are to utilize my background in new and emerging media to grow Flagstar's core business across mobile, social and next-generation platforms.

I collaborate with the managers and directors in all of our departments to strategically hire the best possible candidates for our rapidly growing company.  NAB is one of the fastest growing merchant service providers in the nation and we are adding staff in every one of our departments in 2009.  Working for such an entrepreneurial organization, I enjoy the variety my position allows.  Today, I may need to recruit a class of Customer Service Representatives and tomorrow, I may get to design and implement a new wellness plan for our employees.  There is always variety in the positions I am recruiting for and diversity in the types of projects I am assigned.  Between our casual, high-energy environment and the strong career paths available, NAB is a great company to encourage others to come and begin a career.  For a professional recruiter,  I could not ask for a better fit.

I manage financial transactions (i.e. loans, deposits, etc.) for middle market companies (generally $10-250 million in revenues), most of which are based in Southeastern Michigan.  My primary responsibilities include maintaining strong, productive communication channels with customers, evaluating financial and operational risks of companies, and negotiating terms of transactions.  I was drawn to the job because it provides varied work that allows for continuous learning, interaction with successful entrepreneurs and top level executives, and a high level of autonomy and community involvement.
