Neumeric Technologies got its start in 1999 as a small tech consultancy for General Motors. Since then it has evolved into a data-storage and analytics firm that is hiring in Metro Detroit.
The Southfield-based firm has software application development centers in Michigan, Ohio and India and employs about 250 people worldwide. It has hired two people over the last year in sales and marketing in Michigan and is looking to hire couple of sales & marketing professionals and a technical recruiter now.
Neumeric Technologies is also using its current size as an opportunity to expand into big-data analytics services for large companies. It is also aiming to open a new application development center in Southfield later this year that will eventually employ a dozen people.
"We would like to start with two-to-three developers immediately in out Southfield office and then gradually add on," says Gaurav Agrawal, vice president of
Neumeric Technologies.
Neumeric Technologies sees opportunity for this type of application development center because there are a number of tech firms and manufacturers that could use this service to improve their business but aren't leveraging this sort of field yet.
