Murray Percival Co. is a 50-plus years old local business that is not only keeping pace but growing in the 21st Century, thanks to its expansion into the new economy.
The Auburn Hills-based business got its start in 1960. Today it provides equipment, processes and consumables to the printed circuit board assembly and repair industries. It represents 60 manufacturers and offers in excess of 5,000 products in the U.S. However, its recent foray into Internet sales has played a big part in its recent growth.
"It's really starting to take off," says Brian Sousa, marketing coordinator for
Murray Percival Co.
Murray Percival Co launched its Internet store 18 months ago. That has allowed it to grow from its Midwestern base to a more national presence.
"We definitely have experienced some growth, primarily from sales off our website," Sousa says.
Murray A. Percival Co has hired a new customer service representative over the last year. It now has a team of 18 employees and the occasional intern.
