In a region that trumpets its every economic set back, seven-year-old ePrize LLC is marching to its own very successful beat.
Founded in 1999, the Pleasant Ridge-based company specializes in interactive promotions and sweepstakes and has developed and managed over 2,500 campaigns for major corporate brands, including: Coca-Cola, Visa, General Motors, Target, the Detroit Tigers, Sony, Blockbuster, Yahoo! and The Gap.
PROMO Magazine ranked them as their fastest growing company in 2002, and has billed them as the third best promotional company for the last two years running.
The company recently announced that 2006 saw it win over 200 new clients and conduct 802 national promotions, significantly more than any other business in the United States.
In January, the company launched Caffeine, a website and online tool that allows companies to create and operate their own online promotions.
ePrize also expanded its office by 14,000 square feet, incorporating 125 new open desks, 20 private offices, six conference rooms, a 200-person amphitheater, a sound studio, and a kitchen.
Last year, the company hired 206 new full-time employees, 185 of which are Detroit based. Expecting to see more than $55 million in revenue in 2007, they plan to add 150 positions by year’s end and a total of 450 new staff members in the Detroit area by 2009.
"We are helping to transform the Detroit area into creative space for young professionals," said founder and CEO Josh Linkner.
The company also recently launched its ePrize Fund, a nonprofit charity intended to promote and help grow creativity and entrepreneurship in the area and around their other offices, located in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas and London.
