Big name firms move into rehabbed Wells Fargo building in Birmingham

It may seem like Birmingham's Triangle District is trading one bank for another but the posh suburb is getting a refurbished building and some big corporate names, too.

That's the case with the 34100 building on Woodward Avenue. What had been the National City Bank building is now the Wells Fargo Bank building. Other new big-name corporate tenants names, including AOL and CBS, occupy the structure's 73,000-square-feet of office space.

Construction on the 3-story structure is mostly done and the new tenants, which also include Payroll 1 and
Therma Scan, are starting to move in.

"Everybody will be in the building by November," says Ted Fuller, developer of the project.

The building has served as the home of a bank for all of its 15 years.
