Firm marketing Silverdome's location and infrastructure to developers

CB Richard Ellis Group will begin marketing the 127.5-acre Silverdome site to developers, citing its freeway access, location in Automation Alley and in-place infrastructure as assets to its potential sale and re-use.

Myrna Burroughs, an associate broker with the firm, is optimistic the site can be sold.

"As a matter of fact, I do think there's going to be a lot of interest in the site," she said March 29, citing great freeway access as a positive.

"I do understand there are some troubles with the automotive companies. There's still a lot going on," Burroughs said of the local economy. "I don't think people are going to pack up and leave the area."
