The developer behind the CitiCentre apartment building in downtown Ann Arbor expects to break ground in September and have it ready for occupancy by May of 2009.
The 10-story building will go on the northwest corner of Washington and Division streets. It has 106 apartments, ranging from 600 to 1,000 square feet. The developer, Chicago-based Joseph Freed Homes, expects University of Michigan students and downtown professionals to occupy many of the units.
The building will also have 10,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Although no leases have been signed, several restaurants have inquired about the space. There will also be 77 parking spaces in two floors of underground parking underneath the building.
Joseph Freed Homes is building homes in communities across the Midwest, including Metro Detroit. For information on CitiCentre, visit josephfree.com or call (248) 246-2345.
