Wyandotte gearing up to start streetscape improvements on Eureka

City officials are getting the final approvals needed to begin work on the streetscape improvements along Eureka Avenue in downtown Wyandotte by June.

The city plans to make $250,000 in streetscape improvements to Eureka between Biddle Avenue and 5th Street. The improvements include some new concrete and decorative streetlights along the half mile road. The project is being funded by the city and the Michigan Department of Transportation.

City officials hope to put the project out to bid in May and have construction wrap up by the end of July.
