Downtown Northville looks to become a little denser and a little more urban if a new proposed building goes up.
Northville resident Dennis Engerer wants to build a two-story, mixed-use building at 311 E. Main St. The structure would be built to the lot line with 2,300 square feet set aside for retail on the ground floor and 6,700 square feet for a medical office on the second floor. It will be adjacent to 215 E. Main, and possibly connected to that building. The proposal also calls for seven parking spaces on the first floor.
Engerer and city officials are still working out details of the project, among them figuring out parking requirements for the new building. For information, call (248) 349-1300.
