Most of the units in the Birmingham Place condo conversion in downtown Birmingham have been sold. Of the building’s 142 condos, 108 have sold as of mid February. Bloomfield Hills-based PRS Development bought the 10-story, mixed-use building in 2004.
Birmingham Place, 411 S. Old Woodward Ave., served as an apartment building with office and retail space since its construction in the mid 1980s. PRS and Farmington Hills-based Sachse Construction have finished converting the building from apartments to luxury, high-end condos.
The condos range in size from 585-square-foot studios to 2,727-square-foot penthouses. There are 20 different floor plans for the units, which range in price from $214,900 to $1.4 million. Each unit comes with private balconies, hardwood floors, granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances.
