The words "homes starting at $3 million" might seem out of place in most of Metro Detroit, but not in Birmingham. Expect to see those very prices associated with downtown’s newest condo project: 250 Martin on the Park.
The condo project had fallen by the wayside earlier in the decade but has gained traction again. It is expected to begin sales this spring with prices starting at $3 million per unit.
"We've had a lot of activity but no presales," says Christopher J. Longe, the architect with the project.
The five-story building features eight condos on the second through fifth floors above ground floor retail space. Each condo will feature 3,500 square feet of space which can be expanded if the buyer purchases multiple units.
"You can go anywhere," Longe says. "You can buy a floor (there are two condos per floor) or go up to make it a bi-level."
The building, located on 250 Martin Street overlooking Shain Park, also has an underground garage with 16 parking spaces. Each unit will have access to two parking spots.
