The people of Muskegon have a new marina.
The grand opening of Adelaide Pointe marks the first new marina to open in Michigan in almost 30 years. Situated on picturesque Muskegon Lake, Adelaide Pointe Marina will include a mix of private and public access to services and boating experiences.
“The fishable public access to the break wall, the soft shoreline design, and the large number of transient slips for the boating public will be a great addition to our community and the Blue Economy on Muskegon Lake,” says Jake Eckholm, director of development services for the city of Muskegon. “We look forward to seeing the marina and other aspects of the project complete and open for the public’s enjoyment.”

Adelaide Pointe Marina offers various amenities to enhance the boating experience, including restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, a captain's lounge, a pool, and an outdoor kitchen.
In a gesture of community support, Adelaide Pointe is donating office space to the Muskegon County Sheriff's Department and its marine patrol unit. The collaboration only reinforces Adelaide Point’s commitment to enhancing safety and security on Muskegon Lake while fostering strong partnerships within the local community, according to management.
Adelaide Pointe Marina will offer more than 60 transient slips, providing a convenient and welcoming stopover for boaters from across the region. This expansion is expected to increase tourism and stimulate economic activity within the Muskegon community, further enhancing the vibrancy and appeal of the area.
The construction of Adelaide Pointe Marina was completed exactly a year apart from the groundbreaking ceremony.
"Our priority at Adelaide Pointe has always been to provide top-notch services to boaters while ensuring the seamless integration of public access to this stunning site,” says Adelaide Pointe owner and founder Ryan Leestma “We are thrilled to finally open our doors and welcome boating enthusiasts from near and far to experience the beauty of Muskegon Lake."
