The newest hangout in downtown Adrian is
Sauce Italian Grill & Pub, a “lovely Italian place” that she says is great for hanging both during the week and on weekends. Another new hotspot is ZZ’s Restaurant & Bar inside the
Lenawee Recreation Center is a bowling alley-restaurant-bar that has become a popular spot with the locals.
Adrian College also just opened a restaurant called
WOW Cafe & Wingery that overlooks the Ice Arena.
For other activities, Amy recommends the historic
Croswell Opera House for “amazing musicals and theatre.”
First Fridays are held every month downtown with a different theme every first Friday of the month and all the stores and restaurants open. “It’s a really neat time to get out [and explore downtown.]” In September the city hosts
Art-A-Licious, a whole weekend dedicated to the arts with live music and food vendors.
For shopping, Amy says that
Nova’s Scented Candles and Collectibles is a really unique place to visit.
The Centre is a world-class facility for physical, social and spiritual wellness with a gym, a café, and a variety of family events and wellness activities.
For young professionals, the United Way also has an
Emerging Leaders leadership development program. It is a networking opportunity that teaches leadership skills and trains people to be community volunteers. It’s also a great way to get to know the community. There is also the
Young Leaders Society, another networking outlet that offers great ways to get involved with the community.
