On November 2, we will have the opportunity to elect a new Governor to lead Michigan forward. To help you learn more about the candidates, we have invited Rick Snyder and Virg Bernero to Detroit to discuss their urban agendas and plans to further the principles of the Detroit Declaration.


Join Model D and Declare Detroit on Thursday, October 21 at the Max M. Fisher Center for a conversation with gubernatorial candidate Rick Snyder facilitated by Roger Martin of Martin Waymire.

Rick Snyder
Candidate for Governor, State of Michigan


Rick Snyder is CEO, Chair of the Board and co-founder of Ardesta LLC, a high tech venture capital firm located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Rick previously served as CEO and Chairman of Gateway, Inc.  On July 21, 2009, Rick Snyder announced his run for Governor of Michigan in the 2010 election. He was also named “Pacemaker of the Year” in 2001 by PRSA Mid-Michigan.
