Injured golfers are taking advantage of an innovative golf program developed by Michigan State University (MSU) and Sparrow Health Systems that helps golfers recover their swings.

Donnie Gallimore was one of two dozen golfers with various physical abilities at Forest Akers East Golf Course Tuesday participating in the Adaptive Golf Program.
The
program, now in its 13th year, is a joint venture between Sparrow
Health Systems and Michigan State University. It is designed to help
anyone from amputees to those with severe arthritis adapt their skills
to the golf course.
Sparrow recreational
therapist Brandy Munger, who organized the event, said she has seen
many like Gallimore who have rediscovered life on the links.
