Lansing-based Liquid Web has added a new product to provide support for Ruby on Rails (RoR), an open source Web application framework. The Web-hosting provider has made the application’s support available on its shared, VPS, and dedicated hosting packages.
Liquid Web customers are able to deploy highly scalable and fault-tolerant Rails configurations within
minutes now, says Travis Stoliker with Liquid Web.
By creating a single-click RoR deployment solution, Liquid Web developers have greatly simplified the process to deploy, manage and update RoR hosting environments.
This means that RoR developers can focus on writing great code instead of handling the time-consuming task of installing, integrating, updating and tweaking Rails hosting environments, Stoliker says.
Liquid Web deploys an electronic help desk, dubbed “Heroic Support,” allowing 24/7 service.
The company is a privately held managed Web hosting company founded in 1997 with three data centers in the Lansing area. It serves more than 20,000 clients in 120 countries
Liquid Web received the INC 5000 Fastest Growing Companies award in 2007 and 2008.
