In November 2010, former Michigan public school educators launched
Orange Grove, an Okemos-based tech firm assisting schools by providing one place to upload all student assessment data—like the
MEAP,
MME and others—into a technology that analyzes that data to create graphs, clearly identifying where a student could use some help.
The schools then work with the team of professionals to utilize the data to improve student learning.
“Orange Grove is the culmination of many years spent working to solve the problem of the gap between students' achievement and their potential," says Andrew Henry, founder and president of Orange Grove.
“Every educator I know went into education for the same reason I did—we all want to help kids reach their highest potential," says Henry.
Orange Grove helps educators "focus their energies on what got them into education to begin with—tending to every one of their students’ unique set of needs and abilities.”
Since November, Orange Grove tech firm is supporting 28 schools throughout Michigan.
