In an effort to contribute to the social and economic well-being of the Capital region, the
Jackson National Community Fund (JNCF) has awarded $35,000 in grants to ten non-profits in Lansing.
"The Jackson National Community Fund awards grants on a quarterly basis to organizations that are focused on serving children or the elderly," says Danielle Weller, corporate responsibility specialist for Jackson National. "In addition to providing monetary donations, our employees volunteer more than 4,500 hours each year with many of the nonprofits that the JNCF supports."
Through corporate donations and sponsorships, JNCF assist community enrichment programs, institutions of higher learning and organizations with a specific focus on enhancing the lives of children and the elderly in the community.
Jackson National Community Fund awards grants four times a year, and this is the final grant cycle for 2009. Recipients include the
Mid-Michigan Food Bank,
WKAR and the
Hospice of Lansing, among many others.
