Business for the East Lansing-based Inventure Enterprises has been directly impacted by the recent passage of federal health care reform. Inventure’s software, idView™, is a comprehensive automated background check and monitoring system that cost-effectively completes a background check in two days, rather than two weeks.
The Department of Human and Health Services piloted idView in seven states in 2007, but with new health care legislation having passed out of Congress and signed into law by the President, it provides a way for all States to implement the background check program.
“The program is based on our guidance and expertise, and now dramatically accelerates our business,” says Robert Fulk, president at Inventure Enterprises. “We are engaged in a communications campaign to all 50 states to guide and consult them in developing programs and providing our software for implementing the program in each state.”
The Michigan pilot program has already processed more than 400,000 applicants and has prevented 10,000 criminals from working with vulnerable communities.
“We anticipate at least 10 hires this year, an additional 10-15 in the next year,” adds Fulk. “The success of the program profiles our region as being the experts in guiding national legislation and ensuring homeland security through our idView program.”
