Lansing-based IDV Solutions has created a visual
composite application that will allow its customers to gather and analyze
complex, dispersed data in one efficient spot.
The Visual Fusion Server 3.0 basically compiles groups of
information and places them on top of a Virtual Earth-based map, so clients can
better organize and understand pertinent information.
For example, IDV can take hurricane data from
all over
the country, put it on an overlay on a Virtual Earth map, combine it
with real-time weather and prediction feeds, and ocean currents, and
then use the result to help
oil companies determine when to evacuate employees before a hurricane.
“Visual Fusion
Server enables enterprises to capitalize on their data investment and make it
available in the context of location and time, a primary way of organizing
information,” says Ian Clemens with IDV Solutions.
