Capital Region Community Foundation invests $190,000 in local nonprofits

Since 1987, the Capital Region Community Foundation (CRCF) has been supporting nonprofit programs and services in Ingham, Eaton and Clinton Counties through its grants.

This winter alone, the Community Foundation has invested $190,176 in our local community, approving 42 grants ranging from $500 (Stormfield Theatre) to $20,000 (City of Children’s Friends of the Orphans) fund for operating support.

“The Community Foundation is proud to be able to support a wide range of charitable causes in our community, especially during tough economic times when every dollar counts,” says Robin Miner-Swartz, director of communications for the Capital Region Community Foundation.

“These nonprofits are all working to serve different needs in our region, and because of the generosity of our donors, we are able to help support their good work,” she adds.

Other local nonprofits who received grants for general support include the Greater Lansing Food Bank, SIREN/Eaton Shelter Inc., Sparrow Foundation and the City Rescue Mission of Lansing.
