Two of the Lansing area’s most recognized names are pairing up. The mission: delighting Lansing guests and professionals with great, local coffee.
Beginning March 1, the
Lansing Center will begin to serve
Biggby Coffee at all the venue’s meetings, conferences, weddings and events. It won’t just be the first time Lansing Center visitors will get the chance to enjoy the
East Lansing-based coffee on site, but the first time such a wholesale arrangement has been made to serve Biggby coffee anywhere.
“We’re really excited,” says Amanda Snook, Marketing Manager for the
Lansing Entertainment and Public Facilities Authority, the entity that manages Lansing Center.
According to Snook, the LEPFA was looking for ways to better serve their clients needs and came across a clear need for better coffee.
“It was kind of a brainstorming thing,” Snook says. “I give our CEO [Scott Keith] credit. It was one of those two am ideas.”
Biggby will be providing both the beans, equipment and the know-how to brew their product at Lansing Center events of all sizes. Representatives from the coffee company trained Lansing Center employees to make sure the end result would be the same quality joe found in more then 100 Biggby outlets nationwide.
“The partnership seemed like a natural fit,” Snook says. “Now we’re able to offer a premium product to our clients and showcase another local business.”
