Vendors Fill New 7,500 Sq. Ft. Maple Street Mall in Mason

The 7,500 square foot Maple Street Mall in downtown Mason has only been open for a few months, but its more than 70 vendor booths are already full.

“It started slowly and then all of a sudden it went crazy,” says Maple Street Mall's owner, Debbie Hedemark. She started looking for vendors in the spring. Now she has a long waiting list of those who want to sell their goods in the mall.

Maple Street Mall vendors sell everything from antiques to soaps, to hand bags to birdhouses and original artwork.

“It’s pretty exciting that there were more than 70 people here willing to take on a new business venture,” she says.

Unlike many multi-vendor malls, the Maple Street Mall doesn’t put partitions up between each vendor.

“This just gives a really open flow to the store,” she says.

The Maple Street mall is in the old Dancer’s Fashions clothing store in the heart of downtown Mason. The upper floor of the building houses six apartments. All of the apartments are full.
