Dart Development Group specializes in office and warehouse options and building out leased properties to suit - an industry that some might believe to be quiet at the moment. But after closing on five leases in two office parks totaling 101,507 square feet within a 60 day period, Dart has effectively proven that theory to be incorrect.
“I think Michigan’s economy is just bouncing back,” says Marsha Zimmerman of Dart Development Group.
The five businesses moving into the Oakwood Executive Park in Lansing and Wixom Business Center vary from light assembly to distribution. They will be occuping spaces varying from an 8,000 square foot office/warehouse space to a 40,100 square foot distribution and warehouse facility.
With so much for their existing space filling up, Dart is now exploring options for developing more.
“We do still have some offices available, but people are looking for 10,000 and 20,000 spaces - and we’re packed,” says Zimmerman. “We have lands available to develop.”
Though no plans are firmly in place, according to Zimmerman, a new development could occur as early as this spring along Development Drive near Oakwood Executive Park.
