Upper Peninsula Power Company, a subsidiary of Integrys Energy Group, is currently recruiting for a generation technologist for their Western Hydros located in Rockland, Mich., which is located just outside of Ontonagon. This position requires the successful candidate to be able to configure programmable logic controllers, PC, and other controls communication and interface hardware and software. In addition, the generation technologist is also responsible for understanding, troubleshooting and tuning process control loops and digital controls as well as inspecting, testing, adjusting, calibrating, repairing and maintaining components and systems used in the control of electrical, mechanical and pneumatic equipment. The successful applicant will also be expected to maintain data acquisition and handling systems as well as preform preventive and corrective maintenance duties on systems associated with hydros, combustion turbines, steam generating facilities and other electrical-generating facilities.
Requirements:
-- Associate Degree in Electrical or Electronics Technology or related technical fields.
-- A minimum two years of industrial or military experience in maintaining electronic and electrical control systems, PLCs and computers.
