The assistant manger is responsible for driving sales and profit through leadership, training and development of the store team, and for meeting standards of operation, cost control and asset protection. The position supports the store manager in recruiting, hiring and retaining employees, building a loyal customer base, assisting in meeting and exceeding sales and profit targets, balancing personal sales and profitability goals, and leading sales when store manager is absent. Upon hiring, new employees are eligible for limited medical, dental and life insurance plans, with benefits for full-time employees kicking in after a six-month waiting period. Qualifications:
- Minimum 18 years of age
- High school diploma, or GED
- Ability to work a variety of shifts including holidays and weekdns
- Demonstrated success in retail sales
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and lead a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
